A Digital Access Code (DAC) is used for securely accessing certain online tax services provided by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Using the Digital Access Code Online

DAC Online allows you to obtain a DAC for the following purposes:

1. Underused Housing Tax Return:

  • You can use the DAC to file your Underused Housing Tax return using the CRA’s webform.
  • 2. Special Elections or Returns:

  • If you're using third-party tax software that doesn't support the functionality to generate a DAC, you can obtain one through DAC Online for filing special elections or returns.
  • The DAC is essential for ensuring secure online filing.
