Time to say goodbye to Paper Notice of Assessment

Starting July 2022, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will start the process of switching to electronically providing a notice of assessment or reassessment. You will receive your notice of assessment or reassessment electronically through your NETFILE software or through My Account by providing your email address. In either case, you will need to be registered with My Account for individuals.

An end-to-end digital filing experience from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is now available. With Express NOA, you can get your notice of assessment right after you file your tax return.

Express NOA is a secure CRA service that allows individuals and authorized representatives to get a notice of assessment (NOA) right after filing a return.

If you’re doing your taxes yourself and want an Express NOA, you must:

be registered for My Account

be registered for Online Mail

be using a TaxTron NETFILE-certified software
