
The Old Age Security (OAS) pension is a monthly payment you can get if you are 65 and older.
In most cases, Service Canada will be able to automatically enroll you for the OAS pension if sufficient information is available. Service Canada will inform you if you have been automatically enrolled.
If you did not receive any letter about the OAS pension the month after you turned 64, you may need to apply for the OAS pension.
How to Fill out
Box 18 - Taxable pension paidEnter this amount on line 11300 of your return.
Box 19 - Gross pension paidThe gross amount of Old Age Security pension you received in the year.
Box 20 - Overpayment recoveredThe net amount of any allowance, allowance for the survivor, or guaranteed income supplement you received in the year. Enter this amount on line 14600 of your return. If the amount is negative enter "0". You may also be able to deduct it on line 25000 of your return.
Box 22 - Income tax deductedEnter this amount on line 43700 of your return.
Box 18 - Taxable pension paidEnter this amount on line 11300 of your return.
Box 23 - Quebec income tax deductedReport this amount on your Quebec provincial return. If you were not a resident of Quebec on December 31, enter this amount on line 43700 of your federal return.
